I’m in the staying-young business. Reversing aging involves fixing your body in a multitude of ways. Back, hip, knee therapy are all cottage industries for me. Again and again I’ve demonstrated how to fix what ails you through exercise, or at least drastically improve it, as long as you stay consistent. Looking and feeling confident is worth the effort at any age or stage in life. It becomes even more crucial with every passing year. Group Classes are designed to meet at the intersection of optimal priority, with what is most neglected. In other words, we do many of the things you’ll probably never do on your own. But should. The instructor’s role is to correct and tweak your forum, insure safety, and motivate and inspire. Regardless of your fitness aptitude, coordination. And, importantly, we have fun doing it.
This is called Full-Body restoration Your body is dealt-with with surgical proficiency. You feel it the next day. Love Handles are decimated. The back is fortified. The class is capped by The King of all exercise, 3 sets of Squats. All which is delivered with appropriate intensity to the age and athleticism of the individual involved. If you can't do it, you are given a version of the exercise you can do.
The weightlifting class revolves around two primary exercises: Bench Press & Squats. One for the upper body, the other for the lower. These sacrosanct drills are preceded by a powerful warmup for the joints, spine. In the final 20 minutes participants form a circle for the dumbbell component, "the collectivo." Curls, shoulder presses, shrugs, triceps, lats, whatever is requested. You will feel this class the next morning too.
Your body needs this. This is meditation, relaxation. And, profoundly, this is a real stretch. Like you may have never experienced before. Yoga is a healing experience. Feel your body awakening on a cellular level. Peter teaches the class but brings in Ian once a month. Ian brings in his own take. The combination of styles covers all aspects.
